UHS performs research and analysis of health system data, health system literature, health reform proposals, and health system/policy reports and studies for any types of health systems and elements—public, private, mixed, American, foreign.

UHS’s intention is to contribute to the public discourse regarding health care issues by supplying information to the general public, reform activists, public officials and political candidates, scholars, and any sort of interest group. We advocate for a united health system, studying topics relevant to achieving that end, and addressing and refuting the positions of those opposed to one. Commitments to education and advocacy are our guides in setting priorities and taking action.

Below is the current Master List of Research Projects that need to be carried out by some researcher somewhere to help our cause of creating and supporting well-informed health policy thinkers, and to buttress the argument we make in favor of a united health system.
